Ed Asner, Lucy Lawless, Lee Majors Lead a Cast of over 400 Television and Movie Actors

ATLANTA – August 26, 2013 – With more than 400 actors from television and movies scheduled to appear over four days, the stars are shining bright at Dragon Con 2013, Atlanta’s internationally known pop culture, fantasy and sci-fi convention.

Ed Asner, Lucy Lawless, Lee Majors, William Shatner, and George Takei head a star-studded cast of television celebrities who will meet fans and lead panel discussions about American and British science fiction and fantasy television, from classic television series such as Star Trek and the Six Million Dollar Man, animated favorites such as SpongeBob Square Pants and Pinky and the Brain, to today’s most popular televisions series.

Dragon Con 2013 will be held Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30 – Sept. 2, with activities across the AmericasMart and five host hotels – Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Marriott Marquis, Hilton Atlanta, Westin Peachtree and Sheraton Atlanta – in downtown Atlanta.

Popular television series actors and writers from current network and cable shows such as ABC’s Once Upon A Time, SyFy’s Warehouse 13, and even HBO’s hit series True Blood are among those who will be on hand. Guests from popular shows such as Doctor Who, Bionic Woman, Torchwood, and several series from the Star Trek franchise will attend panels and sign memorabilia and photographs for their fans.

New television shows are also well represented, including Stephen Amell and John Barrowman from The CW’s Arrow; Grant Bowler, Stephanie Leonidas, and Jaime Murray from Syfy’s Defiance; Natalia Tena, Burn Gorman, and James Cosmo from HBO’s Game of Thrones; and Silas Weir Mitchell, Russel Hornsby, and Claire Coffee from NBC’s Grimm.

Two actors will not only participate in panels, but are also bringing their bands to perform in concert. From Joss Whedon’s acclaimed series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, star James Marsters front Ghost of the Robot, while Torchwood alum Gareth David Lloyd will lead his band Blue Gillespie on stage.

On the local front, seven actors from The Walking Dead, including Steven Yeun, Laurie Holden, Scott Wilson, and Michael Rooker will be back to meet both walkers and humans alike to discuss filming in Georgia (a.k.a. Hollywood South) and working with the talented crews from Atlanta to make their hit show look so good. Kelly Hu, from Vampire Diaries, which also films in Georgia, will be on hand too.

The complete list of who to see at Dragon Con can easily be found on the convention website or the downloadable app, available for iOS and Android devices.
