How to Contact Media Relations

Please ask questions directly via email (mediarelations@dragoncon.org).  We ask that you not use facebook to ask official questions of Dragon Con Media Relations staff or Dan Carroll.

 

Urgent questions can use text or a direct phone call to Dan at 404-692-1958.

 

Here are some ways to get better and quicker answers:

  • In email and text messages use your outlet name and your name.
  • In email, we are able to respond quickest to emails that have the name and outlet as the subject, along with a word of two describing the issue. An example would be: “Seriously, Dan/Allison J. Swagger Registering additional reporters”
  • In text a simple: This is Joe from The Wall Street Journal. Where do we get badges?”
    Emails about registration go to interviews@dragoncon.org; all other inquiries go to mediarelations@dragoncon.org
  • Dragon Con is a volunteer activity, including the role of Media Relations Director. Dan and Samm both have full time jobs, but we are committed to responding without 1 business day of your contact

Dragon Con Media Relations will be closing our home offices on 8/29 and beginning our epic journey to the Hyatt Regency.  We will open our doors as close to Noon as possible on Thursday 8/31. If you need to reach us between 8/29 and 9/31, email is the best method.  After 2PM on 9/31 the best way to reach is is to the call the Hyatt Regency We are watching it and will respond as soon as we can.

Unable to Attend Dragon Con?

If you are unable to attend Dragon Con 2017, or if you are no longer a reporter for you authorized news outlet, please complete this form so that you may be considered for Dragon Con 2018. No shows will need to show good cause for missing Dragon Con 2017 to be considered for next year if they do not complete this form.
