Dragon*Con Interview Requests to Open July 1st!
Written By: admin - Jun• 25•12

Beginning July 1st, Dragon*Con Media Relations will process interview requests from approved media outlets. Requests will be sent to the appropriate agent approximately two weeks before the convention. Media Relations will work with the agents and guests to schedule an interview. Approved interviews will be booked in the complimentary Interview Room and reporters will receive notification of the time and date of their interview.

InterviewLocated in room 308 in the Hilton Hotel, just above the Walk of Fame, the Interview Room provides a quiet, private and professional space for reporters to conduct both on and off-camera interviews. Professional lighting and backdrops are available. The Interview Room is open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the convention and can be reserved prior to and during the convention.

Please Note:

  • Requesting an interview through Dragon*Con Media Relations does not guarantee or confirm approval of the requested interview. It is up to the guest, their agent or their representative to approve the interview request. Guests and/or their representatives reserve the right to deny or revoke an interview at any time.
  • Due to the large volume of Interview Requests we receive, please limit your requests to five guests total per organization (not per reporter).
  • Dragon*Con Programming and Dragon*Con Walk of Fame appearances by the guests are top priorities for the guest. If you schedule an interview time that conflicts with scheduled programming for that guest, the interview will not occur.
  • For the safety and security of the guests, and out of respect for fans, interviews are not to be conducted in the Dragon*Con Walk of Fame regardless of whether or not the guest says it’s okay. If you are found sitting at a guest’s table and/or conducting an interview in the Walk of Fame, your badge will be revoked and you will not be eligible for media access in the future.
  • The Media Relations Department is not responsible for confirming interviews. All interviews must be confirmed directly with the guest or their agent at the convention.
  • Interview requests will be closed on August 12, 2012. Requests made after August 12th may not be processed. Approved media outlets may speak with the guest and their agent on the Walk of Fame to request an interview.
