Interview Updates
Written By: Samm Urbaytis-Douglas - Jul• 29•17

We have some updates for interviews:

General Updates:

  • We have changed the limits on interview request from 10 total per outlet to 10 per category for each outlet.
  • The DEADLINE for requesting all guest interviews is midnight on August 18th. The request forms will be closed at that time.
  • There is no interviewing of guests on the Walk of Fame. We use the phrase “Walk of Fame” to indicate that these are guests who will be appearing on the Walk of Fame.

Interview Specifics:

  • Invitations to request interviews with Walk of Fame guests are still being sent out. If your outlet qualifies, you will receive an invitation to request interviews with our Walk of Fame guests.
    • One-on-one interviews with Walk of Fame guests are extremely rare due to their hectic schedules.
    • Stan Lee and William Shatner will not be doing interviews at Dragon Con.
  • Don’t forget about our comics, gaming, pop art, literature, and science guests! They love to talk about their work and will make for some really awesome interviews. Consider requesting interviews with some of these guests for some truly unique material.
  • Interview a Dragon Con Director and get the inside scoop on running the world’s largest fan-run convention! These requests are only available until August 7.  Directors will not be available for interviews at the convention, but can talk to reporters in August.
  • Dragon Con Media Relations’ very own Dan Carroll, spokesperson for Dragon Con, is also available for pre-con interviews as well as limited in-person interviews at the convention. Dan is a popular guy, and really fun to talk to, so spaces fill up fast.

If you have any questions about the interview request process at Dragon Con, you can listen to our handy interview podcasts:
