Where do I start when I get to Dragon Con? (Or how do I get my badge?)

Once at the Hyatt Regency work your way to the lowest floor (Atlanta Conference Level) to the GREENBRIAR ROOM.

Navigation
There are two navigation situations you will need to know about before arriving at the Hyatt Regency:
The Dragon Con Parade
Saturday morning August 31, 2019 crowds line up for the Dragon Con Parade in front of the Hyatt Regency as early as 7AM. At 9:30 AM the roads along the parade route are closed. They remain closed until the parade ends, roughly 11:30 AM. If you are coming to Dragon Con to pick up your badges during this time, please approach the Hyatt Regency from the Marriott Side (Peachtree Center Ave). If you come via Marta, ensure yourself time to get to the Hyatt.
Accessing the Hyatt To Get Your Badge While Badge Checks are Enforced
Every year we at Dragon Con extend the hours for Hotel Badge Checks. If you arrive during a time, for instance Friday evening after 7PM, and badge checks are in effect, you will not be allowed in the hotel. It is possible that the badge checker will understand that you are there to pick up your badge, so explain who you are and ask to be allowed to go to the Greenbriar Room. If that is not possible at this time, please call the Hyatt Regency Greenbriar Room and request an escort to lead you to the Greenbriar Room. The number to the Greenbriar Room is 404 577 1234.

Receiving Your Access Credentials (Badge)
If You Are Pre-Appoved:
Please come to the Greenbriar Room of the Hyatt Regency Hotel with Photo ID. You do not need any additional information. After we check your photo ID, we will then provide you with a press packet and your 2019 Dragon Con Media Access Pass.
If You Are NOT Pre-approved, but invited for Onsite Media Approval via email:
Please come to the Greenbriar Room of the Hyatt Regency Hotel with Photo ID and a COPY of your email from Dan Carroll. You do not need any additional information. After we check your photo ID and verify the code and your name against the list, we will then provide you with a press packet and confirmation for your 2019 Dragon Con Media Access Pass. You must take this confirmation to VIP Badge Pick Up in the Marriott Hotel. VIP Badge Pick Up will provide you with your 2019 Dragon Con Media Access Pass.
If You Wish to Request Onsite Approval:
Come to the Greenbriar Room of the Hyatt Regency to request onsite approval. Onsite approval is provided for significance national media, local media on assignment, and select other media with significant distribution. If you fall into these categories you may request media access with the following:
- Documentation that you are assigned to cover Dragon Con by an established outlet
- Government issued photo ID
- Company ID if available
- References from Dragon Con director
- Not all are applicable to all folks.
Onsite approval is provided only by the Dragon Con Media Relations Director. It is possible that you will have to wait for his availability to be approved. Approval is not guaranteed.
We do not provide additional passes to approved online fan media.

Daily Dragon
During the Convention, Dragon Con produces a daily newsletter in print format which is distributed throughout the convention’s host hotels. The print version focuses on schedule changes and contest winners with articles on the previous day’s panels included as space allows. It is also available online year round, with everything from panel articles to contest winners to interviews with our guests!
