Dragon*Con To Present At
Public Relations Society of America/
Georgia Chapter
Jun• 25•12

The Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America has invited Dragon*Con Chairman Pat Henry and Dragon*Con Media Relations Dan Carroll to discuss the growing success of Dragon*Con at their July meeting.  Dragon*Con is the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the universe!  This year, Dragon*Con will be held Labor Day weekend (August 31 – September 3, 2012) in Atlanta, GA.

The Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America is the second largest Chapter of public relations professionals in the United States with more than 900 members. Its mission is to enhance the profession, provide continuing education and offer networking opportunities. It is dedicated to developing and enriching the professional lives of Georgia’s public relations practitioners. As one of the most active chapters in the country, more than 150 of Georgia’s PR professionals attend the organization’s monthly meetings to hear some of the nation’s most dynamic industry leaders speak on cutting-edge communications techniques and strategies.

Dragon*Con was selected for inclusion in the July luncheon based on its excellent reputation for organization, image management, and media coverage. Dragon*Con leadership will address how our largely volunteer organization has remained authentic to its core audience, while appealing to a broader base of sponsors, media and parade and event attendees. This luncheon will be a deep dive into how Dragon*Con ensures consistency of message across all platforms.
